What I Am Still Healing: A Journey of Growth

Ketu, the South Node of Release, and the honest accounting of what needs to be let go before wholeness becomes possible

September is the month of the Healer.

And rather than open with the teaching, I want to open with something more personal — because it seems right, crossing this threshold, to name honestly what I am still healing.

Three things come to mind. My relationship with my daughters and the ongoing legal and emotional reality that surrounds it. My relationship with money, which has been a teacher this year in ways I did not sign up for. My relationship with women — healthy enough to see clearly, honest enough to admit still carrying wounds that have not fully closed.

And something else. Something that has shifted in me this year through working with men.

I used to hold a quiet judgment about absent fathers.

I cannot hold it anymore.

Not because their absence is without consequence — it is, and children deserve better. But because I now understand, from the inside of the same system, what it does to men. How it depletes the identity, the finances, the emotional capacity, and the will to keep fighting. Slowly. Over years. And I understand why some men walk away rather than continue in a system designed to dismantle the very identity of a father.

That is not an excuse. It is an act of witness. And releasing that judgment is part of my own healing this month.

The piece this week introduces Ketu — the South Node in Vedic astrology, the planetary teacher of release, dissolution, and the freedom that comes not from accumulation but from letting go. The Healer’s first act is rarely action. It is release. Making room for what wholeness actually requires.

The paid piece goes deeper into the personal healing still in progress. If you have been following the current chapter, September begins there.
